On December 15, the 5th High-level Forum of Material Genetic Engineering of the Chinese Academy of Engineering opened in Zhengzhou. The forum was sponsored by Chinese Academy of Engineering and Chinese Society for Materials Research, and jointly organized by Zhengzhou University, Zhengzhou Municipal People's Government, Henan Provincial Department of Education, University of Science and Technology Beijing, Faculty of Chemical, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, Chinese Academy of Engineering, Industrial Development Promotion Center of Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and Beijing Advanced Innovation Center for Materials Genetic Engineering. 39 academicians in the field of materials from home and abroad, many experts, scholars and guests gathered together online and offline to conduct in-depth discussions on technological innovation and achievement transformation of material genetic engineering.

From May 23 to 25, 2021, the 14th China International Powder Metallurgy, Cemented Carbide and Advanced Ceramics Exhibition approved by the Ministry of Commerce will be held in Shanghai World Expo Exhibition Center. The exhibition covers a total area of more than thirty thousand square meters, more than five hundred exhibitors from home and abroad, and the total number of visitors reached 31,453 in three days. On April 25, 2021, "The Sixth National Academic Conference on New Energy and Chemical Materials and the National Academic Conference on Energy Conversion and Storage Materials" was successfully concluded in Xi 'an Qujiang International Hotel. The conference is hosted by New Materials Committee of Chemical Engineering Society of China, Xi 'an Jiaotong University and Xi 'an University of Technology. It is co-organized by 23 universities including Nankai University, Zhengzhou University, Guangdong University of Technology, Zhejiang University and Hong Kong Polytechnic University. The chairman of the conference is Professor Zhang Suojiang, Academician of CAS and Institute of Process Engineering of CAS.
